It's... basically canon weapons. His long-range is going to be the gun mode of something that at least looks like his Gan Gun Hand, and his melee is going to be a scythe. They're probably the same weapon. So it's RWBY. He also sometimes will just flat out hit something with the non-blade part of the scythe, because Makoto gives no fucks.
