As a reminder...


Weapons:
⚔ All characters get two weapons: a close range melee weapon, and long range weapon. However, between combatants and navigators, there are some key differences.
⚔ Combatants
- Their new Weapon can be anything from simple like swords or daggers, to the extraordinary like flaming chainsaws, chairs, pieces of ribbons and so on. There does not seem to be a limit of what constitutes as a weapon.
- As a long range weapon, combatants also get guns or crossbows. These also tend to follow the overall theme of the character - someone who is more physical would get a larger gun to use, while a more practical user might get a small handgun.
⚔ Navigators
- The weapons of the Navigator are the same as a combatants, however their physical weapon is usually small (daggers, small bombs, etc).
- Their long-range weapon, on the other hand, tends to be based of those that can be used as a distance; many navigators will use sniper rifles and cannons from a distance.


Outfit:
☸ When running around at night with their Personas, all characters magically have their outfits changed
☸ From the FAQ: The clothes a character wears when they're Awakened can be influenced by a canon outfit, certainly, but it's meant to be tied more to their demons and their inner heart conflict. Basically, they're part inner self and part rule of cool.

Demons:
✪ From the FAQ: The demons can look humanoid or be based off objects and general descriptions are included on the Demons page for you to use (or not use) as inspiration.
✪ The maximum height of a persona is three times the character's height (but it can be tiny as well, if you like).
✪ The Personas need to be based on the demons from the demon list! But...
✪ Players can draw on their character's canon for inspiration for Persona design. Just keep in mind that it can't look exactly like something from canon.

Request help figuring out weapons, outfits, or demons here! Other RPers will do their best to help.

When doing so, try to give your fellow RPers something to work with. Is your character traditional or thinks outside the box? Simple or ostentatious? Feel free to include whatever mental roadblocks you've been having when trying to decide on a weapon or outfit, too.

So, I really need some help regarding this stuff.

For his outfit, I was thinking of a modified version of his usual outfit from his canon with inspirations from Xerneas, the Legendary Pokemon featured in Pokemon X. Not only that, it has to fit his personality. Unfortunately, I can't even imagine his outfit exactly.

That includes his melee and ranged weapons inspired either the legendary Pokemon or the Mega forms of the Kanto starter Pokemon or the evolved forms of the Kalos starters. I was thinking of a sword, but any other suggestions to that?

Also, I was thinking that his demonic Persona, Foras, could be similar to Xerneas as well. Except that it's a humanoid version of it wielding some sort of a staff/spear. Again, I still can't decide the design and appearance of it, so any advice and suggestions would nice.

I'm sorry if I'm asking a lot, but it's my first time doing this and any inspiration and suggestion would be good to help me out on these stuff.

Outfit - Maybe add blue and black trim to his lab coat, flared shoulder pads that resemble the shape of Xerneas -- perhaps even touches of the rainbow on the sleeves or around the trim of the bottom like his horns? 'X' on the back.

Weapons - His antlers really make me think of bows and arrows, I'm not sure why. Also to play with the 'X' thing you could consider an aX. Or if you are considering a spear for his demon why not also give him a spear to use? Or a halberd would combine an ax shape with a spear...

Those are nice ideas, but the bow and arrow idea makes me reminded of this bow and arrow from an obscure manga I usually read.

But any suggestions regarding his Persona's appearances?

Much like I did with Gladion, I'd look to gijinka fanart and the like, so that's what I did for Xerneas:

Also since it's part of his gen, I was reminded of this and thought it was rad.

More food for thought, but since that gen's Pokemon are based off of Norse mythology, maybe weapons based off of more of that or perhaps what actual vikings used?

Okay, let me just say those are awesome fanarts, especially the eighth art! But they aren't limited to just his outfit inspiration, like his demonic Persona's appearance?

Also, good idea regarding the Honedge fanart for his melee weapons.

Yui - Weapons?

All right, for Yui, as far as her demon goes, I've got that pretty much figured out. It's humanoid, with reflective silver and black armor that looks vaguely like a feminine version of this. But the mask is designed like a raven's head with a round mirror for a face, with shattered glass, constantly reflecting Yui's face. Height is probably about human height, and it floats over the ground.

Her clothes are based off of this outfit from canon, but the coat is much more like her brother's trenchcoat. Again, fitting with the "raven" theme and the black feathers shown to symbolize her in canon, she has a wing pattern on the back of the coat--but black and gold, since she still has to struggle with what her brother did for her.

Close-range weapon, I really have no idea. Maybe a shield? She's a Navigator, so it wouldn't be something big. I don't know if a staff would qualify. She's not someone who likes fighting, and she'd rather try to talk people out of fighting if she can. But she also understands she needs to protect herself and others too. She just doesn't want to have to resort to violence.

As for the long-range weapon, is it just crossbows and guns? Because Kamen Rider Odin, her brother's personal Rider, had feathers that could shoot out and explode on contact or cut people. Otherwise, I might just go with a bow of some kind to incorporate the feather aspect.

I'll get back to everything later, but it's absolutely not just crossbows and guns! Whatever you can imagine as a long range weapon is good to go. Navigators in particular tend to really go long, because of their positioning, so things like sniper rifles and cannons and shit like that are actually what's been used as examples in the past.

So back to this! But if you're worried that staves wouldn't qualify as "weapony" enough, they'd be fine- someone is beating shadows with a soccer ball, the sky is the limit.

Since we're going with a raven theme and I know nothing about the rest of this canon, I stuck with that where applicable! So staves:

(Fun fact I read in a book ages ago: during the Crusades, "holy men" technically couldn't shed blood, but to get in on that war action, they used maces which... technically didn't cut and shed blood...)

Hmm. Maybe I could go with something like this as a staff, then? But the wings on top looking more like this, but everything in black and silver.

Still not sure on long-range, but I'm tempted to try to figure out how to somehow include the card readers used in the series (example here, specifically with Odin).

maybe use more defense oriented weaponry shields are a good starting point and you can get really creative with them, if you know anything about overwatch you could also go the way that Ana from there has one of her weapons. (She has a pistol that shoots sleep darts and her sniper rifle actual shoots out nano like machines that either harm enemies or heal allies) Beaing a navigator you could also go for range defense as well like a little disk that pops out a shield or energy bubble. Granted I would have to ask a mod first if that would be okay weaponry wise but I don't see why not since it's still used to help combat the shadows.

Taro is a Navigator, so his weapons are going to be Weird.

... And Taro is weird in general. His canon powerset is mostly illusions-based, and he actually... avoids killing wherever possible so that'll be interesting. In terms of weapons ideas I had been considering for short range:

- Bouncy balls
- A book
- A large bottle of booze (that somehow doesn't break)
- Coins

Long-range I have no idea, since he's not... a fighter. At all.

Taro's outfit I am also stuck on but I want it to be some form of like. Slick suit. Because the small tanuki is a James Bond fanboy shut up don't judge him.

Dagger/Knife (and some guns) References!

Hey. Hey you. Need a close-range weapon? Been thinking of knives and daggers? Not necessarily opposed to knives and daggers? Well good news, I just made a whole plurk filled with them.

Elegant knife? Done.

Cute knife? Done.

Rad knife? Done.

Just a plain ol' good practical stabbing thing? Done.

So I managed to finalized the designs for Sycamore's demonic Persona as well with his outfit and weapons.

PERSONA

For his Persona, Foras looks like a humanized/Gijinka version of Xerneas with a black bodysuit and some sort of blue waistcoat with Xerneas's horns around his neck similar to this artwork. However, he has pale blue hair with the hairstyle seemingly crossed between Calem and Sycamore's and sports a mask of a Life Pokemon covering his face with cross/X-shaped symbols on his blue eyes as well a blue regal-like coat/jacket (similar to this, credits to artist who made these artwork) with pale blue trimmings (which will turn into pale yellow when using a Light or support spell, this also applies to his hair as well).

Foras is also wielding some kind of staff that it's resembles Xerneas's tree form with a blue stone on the top of it. (Source, credits to artist who made these artwork)

OUTFIT

Sycamore's outfit is completely crossed between his canon outfit and Xerneas itself. First off, he wears a blue lab coat with a black colored on the inside as well pale yellow and rainbow horns sticking out from his collar. Along with his coat is a black version of his shirt and a dark blue waistcoat underneath it as well wearing black pants with pale yellow pattern shaped like an X and a special variation of his belt that also has the X-shaped pattern on the belt buckle and black shoes

He also wears long black gloves with pale yellow tips located each of his fingers and a bracer with a U-shaped symbol in front of them.

WEAPONS

So basically, Sycamore's weapons are based off some of Kalos Pokemon along with Xerneas. One of which is a sword that resembles a Honedge. In terms of design, the sword and sheath are completely similar to the Sword Pokemon, except it is tall enough as a normal broadsword. In fact, the sheath itself is easily removable from his belt and when his sword is in use, it's sash quickly holds onto the sheath and can move by itself until Sycamore returns the sword back into it.

For his ranged weapon, he wields a bow that resembles Xerneas with blue energy arrows stored in a quiver that is sling around his back.
