The AU in this game is completely player's choice. We encourage you to take a look at the city and plan accordingly! Your AU information can be added to your character hub, should you desire. As long as it is available somewhere, and others can take a quick glance and know what the character's AU is.
We only ask that you try to keep everything tasteful and respect our decision if we feel you're going too far. As the game begins, you are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods first-post related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner!
The city of Eddan is very much a typical metropolis, so your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job. If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!

There is also a randomized AU signup if you'd like to leave it to chance who your family members are and establish pre-game CR with new people. But if you'd rather leave it for now and wait for other app turns, that's also fine!

I have Ran here from Detective Conan.
Canon:
>Ran's parents are separated, and she takes care of her father and Conan. Her father is a private detective, and her mother is a lawyer. She and her father took in Conan, and he's been living there however much time has passed in the series. ^^;
>She does not know that Conan is actually her 17 year old childhood friend/love interest. Awkward complications ensue.
Yes, there was a hot spring involved once.>She is a regional karate champion.
And a little scary when using it.>She is a great cook.
AU - so far!
>Her mother owns a flower shop, where Ran works after school at times. (Other part-timers welcome! Just beware -- her mother likes things done a certain way.) Her mother also has the tendency to be out a lot -- may have some drinking and gambling issues.
>Her father is a criminal lawyer and a bit remote, spending a lot of time at work. He did, however, teach Ran how to cook when she was younger.
>The parents are not getting along well, often fighting when they're both home. This creates some stress and tension in Ran. She gets out of the house herself when she can.
>Backstory involves knowing Heiji since lower cycle in school, and he finally asked her out. They've been dating 1-2 years.
>Ran is in the senior cycle in school. She participates on the track and field team with hurdles and javelin.
>She's still a really good cook. No karate, though, until she awakens.
>Overall, she's likely good to people unless you're an utter jerk.

Hello K I'm Fyre! Lenka here (Haruka in his AU) is a 1st year of the senior cycle and a member of Green Valley's gardening club! He's mostly a quiet kid who only occasionally gets in trouble but amusingly enough he already works in a flower shop (run by Kaltz, who is also our resident catguy). I'm thinking he's probably dropped by Ran's family flower shop now and then, though, because what a gardening nerd.
Ran is welcome to join the gardening club or otherwise come hang out in their greenhouses depending on what you're up for. :D They have some stray honorary members who pop up now and then... We've also all been greatly saddened by the lack of cooking club so far, just saying. |D

Her mom could try to poach him from the other shop? XD;Ran would definitely like to stop by the greenhouses. I don't know yet if she'll join the club or not, just because she's around that most of the day, but she'd definitely be interested in the greenhouses and the goings on at the very least. Maybe could provide some seeds or something that her mother has been breeding? That could be cool.
I will give a cooking club some serious thought. XD

I would laugh so hard if the flower shops were lowkey trying to poach employees from each other, I'm down for this. It would be so funny. He's a good dutiful employee too, even if he's part time obviously because ~*school*~. :3c
And yeah that is totally fair, she can totally still hang out with the cool green kids. 8)) And if she brings cool seeds that is totally a great bonus. I have a rough outline of what the club looks like right over here for informational purposes! Feel free to throw us suggestions for things you'd like to do or see.
Also it looks like we have more contenders for cooking club, look down, this is totally going to be a thing I'm excited. :D/

Yeeees. /hand rubbing Let's do the employee poaching attempts. I think it'll make for a good scene or two.
And hopefully won't lead into all-out war.Will do! I'm sure she can be lured in periodically for events, too.
Hm . . . would he lure her in for cooking club, too? I'm thinking it's probably not something she would initiate, but she could get pulled into it pretty readily.

It would be so funny and awkward, and even funnier I saw that Ciro's working at her shop and Ciro and Haruka are buddies in the gardening club so the hilarity can spread.
Flower shop turf wars are the kind of puntastic oppuntunity I can get behind.Haruka is actually the worst recruiter, the last time he recruited someone it was Ciro and that happened because he mistook him for a club member before he was a club member.... :'D;; But the gardening and cooking clubs apparently have a symbiotic relationship now so if she hangs out with the gardeners she'll eventually run into the cooks. It's a package deal!
