WELCOME TO THE FIRST PLANNING POST!

Congratulations on being accepted into the game. Now let's have a big meeting post, plan and have fun together!

AU PLANNING

The AU in this game is completely player's choice. We encourage you to take a look at the city and plan accordingly! Your AU information can be added to your character hub, should you desire. As long as it is available somewhere, and others can take a quick glance and know what the character's AU is.

We only ask that you try to keep everything tasteful and respect our decision if we feel you're going too far. As the game begins, you are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods first-post related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner!

The city of Eddan is very much a typical metropolis, so your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job. If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!

There is also a randomized AU signup if you'd like to leave it to chance who your family members are and establish pre-game CR with new people. But if you'd rather leave it for now and wait for other app turns, that's also fine!

The first log for the 2nd round will be posted on JUNE 17TH. Please vote on what time you want it to be posted. We'll go with player majority! (As a note, this will be done for all rounds).

Command Tower Recruitment

Hey guys, want to have your character during their non Awaken time to be part of a weird sport only found in this weird city? Want to build up some CR via beating people up with foam weapons in the name of teamwork? Then we have a sport for you. Command Tower is an in universe sport that the discord chat created one night when trying to figure out why none of the sports teams leave to compete on larger scale, and thus made a unique sport that is all the rage in Eddan and thus why other sports aren't really as popular/have the funding to leave.

So if you think you want your character to Awaken and wonder why they enjoyed nyooming around in heelies wielding a foam spear or sniping with foam crossbows then have a look and join in.

Kei (Taro's AU name) is definitely a King, or at least a King alternate. He does not nyoom around super well but he is surprisingly good at tactics.

... So he probably knows a bunch of people.

Dorm Life Catchall

Who's the loud guy on the floor? The one who always tracks in mud? Who don't you trust near the communal kitchen, and who do you beg to make extra?

Alternately, who's that asshole who borrowed your copy of the latest ZBox game, and still hasn't returned it?

While he doesn't live in the dorms, Kei/Taro is probably a familiar face around them due to being a very social person. If there's a party he's probably there.

Don't ask how he got in the building without an ID card. It involves a rope and copious humming of this world's equivalent of the Batman theme, probably. Or maybe just following a friend in.

He's probably tried to climb the building anyway.

The Blue French Horn Cafe

Looking for a place for your character to have a job -- part time or otherwise -- then you might be interested in working at the Miles' family cafe. Breakfast and lunch served every day. Menu is mostly New Orleans/Cajun style food with items like beignets, gumbo, and red beans and rice on the menu.

Comes with automatic CR with Jaune (John) and Hotaru (Harper) Miles -- cause their mom owns the place and they work there/hang out there.

Also could use some regulars if you don't want to be an employee -- they encourage musicians/singers/local talent to showcase at their establishment from time to time.

Discord, AU info, and other docs

So as mentioned in the CT toplevel we have a discord chat server and we happily invite the rest of you guys to join us there. You can find it Here come join us in nyoom land. Also myself and Letty have been doing 'List hell' work in compiling data for easy to find and edit sources for various things.

Letty set up a neat AU sheet you can find here where you can add your AU info and look to see everyone else's. Really helpful if you weren't certain on asking someone if you could join their au family for a specific role.

I also have set up a Fight Party Chart, that lists easily people's roles/elements/styles/passives for quick refs when party making becomes a thing. Combatants are one tab and Navigators another and it can be found Here

I also have a list for who has what demon as their personas as well as Arcana when those get rolled on Awakening. Found here

Letty also has a breakdown of elements/styles/passives but I don't have the link right this second on me. So someone else can comment that in.

Kei (last name to be determined) was born and raised for some of his life outside the city, and then was sent to Eddan to go to school and look after his grandparents.

... Spoilers, he does not look after them super well because he is out and social. He's in CT, he goes to parties... he sneaks booze into parties despite being like seventeen... he gets way too drunk at parties but still gets invited to them...

He's social, that's what I'm saying. Also a little bit of a kleptomaniac when he's bored. Which happens more often than it should.

Soooo here's an idea for you. John is also originally from out of town. Specifically he grew up on a farm--so they would have been from a small, rural town. So, depending on from where outside the city you were thinking, perhaps they could have been childhood friends. John's family would have moved here when he was seven though--so it would have been when they were little kids and they haven't heard from each other in awhile maybe?

Julius here will be Augustus Albero, the heir to a large biomedical research corporation based in Eddan. Since he's the only child, he'll be the heir and studies a lot so he can be ready to inherit the company when his dad retires. As a result he's very hardworking in school and also serves in student council to brush up on his managing skills. He lives outside of campus in his family mansion, and gets driven to school, that sort of thing. But really he's a quiet guy who likes reading under trees and being out of the limelight. Which is a problem since his looks and mysterious aura kind of attracts girls...

He's 20 and in 2nd year, higher cycle. As for ECA he'll be in gardening club and CT as a knight (for exercise). I'd like to find some CR with long AU backstory for him, since he's the type that is difficult to befriend but will be very loyal after that. He also has a type of epilepsy that makes him pass out in weird places (but rarely) so that can also be a starting point.

Hello I'm bring Mukuro in here, though he'll be known as the totally inconspicuous and not at all douchey sounding name of Faustino Esposito. He's also sixteen, but is the type to come across as more mature than his actual age so long as someone doesn't look too close.

As far as he knows, he's been in this city all of his life, has two successful intellectual type parents ( his father's a scientist and his mother is a psychology professor ) who aren't around enough to really keep an eye on him. He's going to be part of the student council and part of the drama club. He also tends to get fairly good grades and is usually superficially pleasant, but for more astute characters, something might seem a bit 'off' about him. I'd like for him to cultivate a kind of shady reputation.

I'm still not sure if he would still be living at home or in the dorms, but I'm leaning towards dorms just for extra CR opportunities.

I'm down for family members, enemies, friends, allies, etc. I look forward to playing with you all. o/

HI HELLO new person coming through, don't mind me...

Reimi here will be assuming the name Emily Sugimoto pre-awakening, which was a lot funnier of me before they edited the trivia it referenced off her wiki page!!

She's sixteen and has lived in Eddan her whole life, which has been relatively uneventful up until now. Her parents run a daycare center which she occasionally lends a hand with in her spare time, and she does a healthy amount of babysitting on her own. If your characters have younger siblings, they may already be somewhat familiar with her! She's pretty damn good.

I'm not entirely sure what clubs/extracurrics she's doing at the moment, so if you'd like to abduct her into your organization now's the time. If not I'll just wing it and we'll see what terror unfolds from that, haha. She's pretty into ghost stories/urban legends, however, which is going to become more than a little ironic later on. At least her grades are good!

Familywise I think it might be cute for her to have a younger sibling or two, but I'm going to keep things vague for the time being just in case. What she does for absolute certain have, though, is a cat named Bowie who looks suspiciously like a certain someone's gray color palette...

Anyway, I'm open to cr of all kinds so PLEASE COME AT ME. I'm really pumped to be here.

Oops! I mean, hey guys! I'm Runner, a new player in Recursion and I finally bringing in Professor Sycamore from a game called Pokemon X!

Canon-Wise:
>> He's a cheerful and optimistic Pokemon Professor from the Kalos region who studies in Mega Evolution.
>> He is responsible for giving Calem, Serena, and their friends some starter Pokemon for their Pokemon journey.
>> His canon point takes place AFTER the game's story, so a little spoiler: he may be affected by the events that happened in the story after his Awakening. Also, give me a heads-up regarding some Pokemon X spoilers in case you didn't play the game.

For his AU History:
Sycamore will assume the name of Armand Sauveterre, a 29-years old homeroom teacher in Green Valley who lived in Eddan for his whole life now. While he still retains his cheerful and curious personality, the news about the serial murders in the city causes him to become a worrywart regarding his family and friends. This also applies to his students, although he does hides it with a cheerful smile in front of them.

CR-wise:
I'm looking for any student and teacher friends CR that might know him during his pre-Awakening life. I'm also looking for any CR even after his Awakening (which may be very interesting...)!

I'm also down for Sycamore's family CR, namely, I'm looking for his older brother or sister. I'm also down with other family members such as cousins and nephew.

His AU History is still WIP at the moment, but I hope I can play with you all and enjoy the game very soon! :)

-she is a 22 year old student who works part time at a newspaper.
-she is the only member of the bizarre "Machine Empire Resistance" club at school, which labeled the conspiracy circle by the teachers and official literature.
-her name is BeBe, and no one is sure what her last name is.
-She can often be found in the town's open areas and school grounds after classes are out handing out strange fliers related to her club.
-she is always wearing a black piece of cloth over her ears, which she claims stops the machines from reading her mind and finding her. (she only takes it off at home, in class, or when eating.)
-outside her insanity, she is a fairly nice person who tends to defend people in need.
-Her mother and father had her while they were young, so they are only about twenty years older then her.
-Telling her she is wrong or crazy may lead to ranting.

OU
-Real name is Yohra android 2 type B(attle)
-taken from ending A so no real spoilers for the game.
-wields a massive katana in battle.
-typing is physical/psy with a focus on protecting others.

Shirou Fubuki will be undertaking the AU name Kouyuki Jin because I'm terrible and couldn't resist temptation. Basically, if read in the Eastern order as Jin Kouyuki (or jinkouyuki specifically) it means artificial snow which is a nod to his OU split personality. That'll be fun post-awakening...

Anyway!

While Kouyuki was born in Japan, his delivery into the world wasn't ordinary. As the son of a young couple who had difficulty conceiving a child of their own and turned to their closest friends, the Yamashitas, for assistance, he was not only given birth to by a surrogate mother, but also born prematurely. It was tough on both families, but after he stabilized, he spent a couple of years in Japan before traveling with his family for their work. It wasn't until the age of eight when his parents began to see how the traveling was affecting his schooling that he moved to Eddan to live with the Yamashitas and his cousin full time, thus allowing his mother and father to pursue their very busy careers while he focused on his athletics and academics in a more stable environment.

And, as someone who enjoys being around people and being surrounded by lively activities, Kouyuki took to life in Eddan rather quickly. Fourteen years old now, he attends Green Valley as a Second Year Lower Cycle student and an active (and extremely competitive member) of the track and field team. In fact, he spends the majority of his free time at school on the track and training, though he makes a point to support all his friends' club activities by visiting them whenever he can, too!

I haven't decided if he'll join anything else yet, but I'm open to suggestions! Given how much of a social butterfly he is, and how much he loves being active and hates not being around other people, he'll probably take on at least one other activity as long as it won't interfere with his track. (Boy loves to be like the wind.)

Aside from that, feel free to say you know him as that one popular kid who's not only always flanked by a lot of girls or people in general, but as someone who's genuinely nice despite his popularity...albeit willing to use his unassuming appearance to play pranks on the unwary.

I'll be bringing in Conan Edogawa from Detective Conan.

Canon:
*Conan claims to be a bright seven-year old detective that just happens to be good at observations. He's also a trouble and murder magnet. He literally cannot go anywhere without walking into a crime scene.
*Conan's real name is Shinichi Kudo, and he is really a seventeen-year-old high school detective.
*He has spent the better part of the last year (or twenty years, if you count how long this series has been going) trapped in the body of a child, due to getting in way over his head on a case and being forced to take an experimental poison with a very unexpected rare side effect.
*Conan/Shinichi is a very good detective. Ever want to get your character Sherlock scanned? He can do that.

AU:
*He'll be going by the name of Conan Hartwell.
*He believes that he is actually seven.
*He has a backstory involving being dropped off to live with his older half-brother Harley (or Heiji).
*Conan is probably a student in the first grade here. He's terrible at music and kind of a brat to his teachers. He will be pointing out every time anyone gets anything wrong. He likes soccer and mystery novels.
*Open to suggestions on anything else.

>Her father is a criminal lawyer and a bit remote, spending a lot of time at work. He did, however, teach Ran how to cook when she was younger.
>The parents are not getting along well, often fighting when they're both home. This creates some stress and tension in Ran. She gets out of the house herself when she can.
>Backstory involves knowing Heiji since lower cycle in school, and he finally asked her out. They've been dating 1-2 years.
>Ran is in the senior cycle in school. She participates on the track and field team with hurdles and javelin.
>She's still a really good cook. No karate, though, until she awakens.
>Overall, she's likely good to people unless you're an utter jerk.

Hello K I'm Fyre! Lenka here (Haruka in his AU) is a 1st year of the senior cycle and a member of Green Valley's gardening club! He's mostly a quiet kid who only occasionally gets in trouble but amusingly enough he already works in a flower shop (run by Kaltz, who is also our resident catguy). I'm thinking he's probably dropped by Ran's family flower shop now and then, though, because what a gardening nerd.

Ran is welcome to join the gardening club or otherwise come hang out in their greenhouses depending on what you're up for. :D They have some stray honorary members who pop up now and then... We've also all been greatly saddened by the lack of cooking club so far, just saying. |D

Hello. Blithe here bringing in Zero from Vampire Knight. I still haven't worked out his AU History but here's what I got.

AU History
- He grew up in Japan with no siblings and two loving parents.
- His parents died in a plane crash five years ago when he was 13.
- He moved to England with his uncle after his parents death. He was very quiet during this time and cut himself off from everyone back in Japan.
- At the start of his second year of high school, his uncle sent him to study in Eddan hoping to give him a whole new start.

Currently
- Zero is 18 and starting Higher Cycle
- He's a top student with his best courses being math/science though people may have noticed that he tends to engage more in humanities courses like ethics.
- He's part of the Equestrian Club, but mainly just hangs out with the horses. A few people may have caught him taking naps in the stables.
- He's also part of the cooking club and makes some pretty damn tasty food.
- He's not really a social guy nor does he tend to talk about himself a lot. He keeps his past a secret and doesn't engage in regular social events unless coerced.
- He's got a sizeable inheritance so money isn't an issue for him though it's not something you can tell.
- Usually you can find him reading a book under a tree or napping in the stables

As for anything else, I'm open to suggestions!

Greetings!! I'll be bringing in this baseball nerd finally, and will be looking forward to interacting with you all now that I can shove him at everyone and everything. This is Takeshi Yamamoto from Katekyo Hitman Reborn, who's actually a pretty badass OP swordsman in his canon (given at one point he's literally fighting with three swords because what is chill with shonen characters) and is the Rain Guardian of the Vongola mafia family.

At least, back home he is. Here he's just going to be an average kid with an overwhelming adoration for baseball.

AU Details
- His fake name is Angelo. Last name is likely going to be Esposito for reasons of the shenanigans that will be involved with having Mukuro for an older brother.
- ALSO WILL PROBABLY BE BFFS with Chikusa, aka Ciro! (I AM PRETTY SURE?)
- He will be apart of the track team!! And the baseball team as well, though you can honestly catch him bouncing around to all the sport things. 'Cause he's restless and is constantly striving to find ways to improve himself to be better at the thing he loves.
- He is fourteen, and will be apart of the lower cycle at Green Valley. He'll also probably end up living in the dorms since that's way more fun and he can bug people easier that way.
- ALSO A KNIGHT IN COMMAND TOWER. You can bet he is the best teammate and will probably be scary good at what he does. Even more so once he has his memories back.
- Also for reasons of primarily focusing on sports, his grades are going to be horrendous at times. So tutors and study buddies are absolutely a thing he's going to need and he already has a few already, but I'm always open to more!

THAT SAID, not all of his AU stuff is set in stone and I'm willing to change stuff/add things/work with whatever. <3 Come at me, cool kids.

Hey all! I'm Vale and with me is Heiji Hattori from Detective Conan. I decided to be a terrible person by using his localized dub name "Harley Hartwell" for when he's not awakened. My plurk is valecia if you're interested. I do have Discord as well, but don't use it as frequently. Just shoot me a PP if you would like to exchange Discords instead.

OU
- Heiji Hattori is the great detective of the west, which basically encompasses all of the Kansai region. Add onto that Shinichi (or Conan as you will) is his self-proclaimed rival. Despite such competitive tendencies, they're actually close freinds. Heiji never leaves Kudo alone. Ever.
- He's well endowed in Kendo. Luckily he's just a Navigator and won't have such a large weapon to begin with.
- Baseball is his favorite sport.
- Heiji is hot-headed. So it's easy to make him mad. Lol.

AU in progress
- Like I said. He's gonna be Harley Hartwell for his AU, try not to cringe too hard!
- Conan is his younger half-brother. (I think we decided different mothers), and Ran is his AU girlfriend! (Save them both if we ever get a Kazuha).
- I dumbed Harley down a bit, so instead of being a prodigy, he's just really dedicated to his studies. Still has good grades. Still amazing. Lol.
- Harley likes to pull dumb pranks and jokes. (Worst part is he doesn't think they're dumb).

I'm still open for more relations and involvement. I'm looking to have Harley pretty heavily involved in school and clubs to keep him busy, and I might need a rival /*winkwink*

So I'm Ki, fresh meat to this game, bringing in Soma Cruz from Castlevania.

AU Info:
- His last name will still be Cruz, but his first name will be Sein (Basque/Spanish for "innocent" ha ha).
- Recent high school graduate from out of town, "returning" to help his parents run their bakery/cafe Creciente.
- Quiet, shy, bookworm type. Total video game nerd, too.
- Born albino, completely self-conscious about it.
- Requires high levels of caffeine to function in social situations. Constantly drinking hazelnut mochaccinos.
- Deceptively strong for an apparent nerd = attributed to fencing and freerunning classes to keep in shape.
- Loves animals. Seriously, do not hurt an animal in front of him. Feeds strays behind the bakery, owns two cats and a Samoyed.

OU Info:
- Soma Cruz is the reincarnation of Dracula. Carries memories of multiple incarnations and occasionally their skills, which makes him fluent in several languages. Tends to slip into past life memories when highly stressed or triggered.
- Pseudo-vampire. Fangs come out when in bloodlust or stressed. Does not require blood but craves the taste of it and the act of biting thanks to memories and altered physiology.
- HATES what he is but will use his power to help people whenever he can, even at great personal risk. Not a death-seeker but definitely an atoner.
- Less socially awkward and shy than his AU form, but still introverted with unfamiliar people. Far more serious than AU form.

Oh man I need these two to be friends for several reasons: 1. Jaune (or John) already has CR with Alucard...so why not just befriend ALL THE VAMPIRES, 2. Fellow child of a cafe owner--does that make them rivals? IDK 3. Socially awkward you? I wouldn't say John is SHY, just awkward around people sometimes--he's actually fairly outgoing.

AU:
- 23 years old.
- Maybe steadily employed? I honestly did not expect to get accepted so I have given no thought to this whatsoever.
- Let's say he's a short order cook for a local grub place.
- Or just has a bunch of different side jobs to meet different people.
- Will still probably adopt people to live with him since he's not a loner (unless you bitch about the lack of party members in Crisis Core).
- I guess his name will be Ken Gomez, mixing up his voice actor names.
- Will still love doing squats. That will probably literally be 65% of his social link interactions. That and flirting.

I'm Akino, and I'm bringing Yui Kanzaki from Kamen Rider Ryuki! I did some plotting over at the test drive, but I really don't have a whole lot.

Canon info:
-Let's not talk about her parents. They were awful.
-Lived with her aunt at a teashop for 13 years. Her older brother, Shiro, was sent overseas to live with relatives in America. She missed him
-Looks up to Shiro a lot but he started a battle royal among a bunch of strangers in order to save her life. This makes for awkward family reunions.
-Roommates are two of said strangers who have to kill each other to either save her or grant their own wish. They are idiots and jerks named Shinji and Ren. She loves them like family when they don't drive her nuts.
-Oh, and she's dead. Living as a ghost in a parallel world that would otherwise be full of monsters she created as a child.

AU info:
-Art student?
-Likes journalism (plans to investigate Kiriya's shady pawn shop), maybe school newspaper?
-Visits Jaune's cafe from time to time?
-I really don't have much. Let's just not give her terrible parents. Would like for her to have some younger siblings too in her AU family.
-Not straight? Canon Yui shows no patience for suggestions of dating her idiot/jerk roommates, but she's very kind to Ren's girlfriend and brings her flowers--maybe she'd be more willing to date cute girls or paint them?
-Probably still prefers tea to coffee
-I don't even have a name for her. Help.

So some AU name help:

I think a lot of people for names go with jokes or homages to things in a character's canon. Like Jaune here, his AU name is a joke about how his name sounds like "John" and then I took the name of his Voice Actor and made it his last name.

A few people have played around with the name meanings or puns. I think some people have just changed a letter or two or, in some cases, used a "dub" name (though I know that won't really work for Kamen Rider).

Hello everyone! I'm Cal, new to the game! Sorry for dropping in a bit late, but I've been having a little trouble coming up with what to do for AU Yusuke. Guess some brainstorming could always help too though!

Some ideas so far for his AU self:
- He'll definitely still be an artist and a student like his canon self, and probably be living at the dorms now too (but didn't always. Maybe for a year or two by now?)
- I'd like to give him a family. I'm thinking he was raised by his grandparents and still goes to spend a lot of time with them, and I think they'll have a bookshop or something of the sort that he'll help out with
- That's mostly it for now! I'm not sure of a name yet either. But I'll add new ideas if I get any!

I heard bookstore and Genda here as Christopher likely would have visited a lot. He's a pretty quiet kid both before and after his awakening so they could have talked books or such if you do go bookshop route for Yusuke.
