The AU in this game is completely player's choice. We encourage you to take a look at the city and plan accordingly! Your AU information can be added to your character hub, should you desire. As long as it is available somewhere, and others can take a quick glance and know what the character's AU is.
We only ask that you try to keep everything tasteful and respect our decision if we feel you're going too far. As the game begins, you are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods first-post related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner!
The city of Eddan is very much a typical metropolis, so your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job. If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!

There is also a randomized AU signup if you'd like to leave it to chance who your family members are and establish pre-game CR with new people. But if you'd rather leave it for now and wait for other app turns, that's also fine!

It makes things easier when Soma eventually gets the urge to nibble on someone I mean whatno subject
I mean, Jaune's is more of a restaurant/cafe and Soma's is more of a bakery--so it's not like they have the EXACT SAME RESTAURANT.
Also rivalry isn't really Jaune's thing...I was just making a joke XDb But I'm glad someone else is bringing food service options here <3

And yeah I figured it was playful! I could almost see them having "memories" of sharing their respective shops' specialties at high school: Soma brings one of his chocolate-almond croissants for Jaune, Jaune brings one of his favorites for Soma.
Yeeeeah enjoy that, it's always fun to see how people play their characters reacting to a bite. Shock, pain, pleasure....no subject

So I guess when the intro log goes live, I'll put up a top level at the cafe for you and anybody else who wants to meet my pasty pretty boy. XD (And I think now I finally need to watch RWBY....)

(I do worry that Soma might be a bad influence on Jaune in at least one way: he tends to swear in Spanish and I wonder if your blondie might pick it up from hanging out with him. XD)

Jaune doesn't even speak SpanishJaune is probably fairly familiar with curse words and I think I've already let a few slip anyway--he just usually does it in EXTREME cases. Jaune is a dumb, he's not a complete innocent "oh my poor ears" type.).
