WELCOME TO THE FIRST PLANNING POST!

Congratulations on being accepted into the game. Now let's have a big meeting post, plan and have fun together!

AU PLANNING

The AU in this game is completely player's choice. We encourage you to take a look at the city and plan accordingly! Your AU information can be added to your character hub, should you desire. As long as it is available somewhere, and others can take a quick glance and know what the character's AU is.

We only ask that you try to keep everything tasteful and respect our decision if we feel you're going too far. As the game begins, you are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods first-post related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner!

The city of Eddan is very much a typical metropolis, so your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job. If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!

There is also a randomized AU signup if you'd like to leave it to chance who your family members are and establish pre-game CR with new people. But if you'd rather leave it for now and wait for other app turns, that's also fine!

The first log will be posted on MAY 13TH. Please vote on what time you want it to be posted. We'll go with player majority! (As a note, this will be done for all rounds).

Raidou Kuzunoha XIV

Hi, I'm Zoe (fireplacecat) and I'm bringing in Raidou Kuzunoha XIV from his eponymous series. Raidou is a devil summoner who was trained from early childhood to subdue, negotiate with, and form pacts with various demons, and then fight alongside them to defend the Capital from various supernatural threats. He does this in an alternate-universe Tokyo circa 1931, where the Taisho period has lasted a full five years longer than it's supposed to and shows no sign of ending soon. Also, Japan won the space race, thus dooming Neil Armstrong to forever wander outside of time as a lost soul. This is an actual thing that happens in the first game.

I am still hashing out some aspects of his AU self here; during the test drive, he went by Rei Izumi, but I'm not entirely sure whether I want to keep that.

Established Details
-Sixteen or seventeen years old
-Exchange student from a wealthy family - probably politicians
-Does not get along with said family, which is why he's an exchange student in an entirely different country
-Very intelligent but also very rebellious, with a bad habit of mouthing off to authority figures he doesn't respect and a tendency to get into fights with bullies
-Learned programming partially out of spite, although he's good at it
-Probably dyes his hair a lot
-Never wears a hat

Things I'm not quite sure on yet
-His name
-His living situation
-Additional outside interests besides computers. I feel like he should have something, but I don't know how closely I want to hew towards canon with that, e.g. giving him interest in the occult or a talent for singing.

Oho, what year of the senior cycle are you looking at? Okuyasu'll be a second year, so there's room for them having the same classes. Alternately, there's apparently a couple clubs and sports floating around- rugby, soccer, and volleyball, iirc.

Also, there's a top level for those of us who'll be living on campus over here, if you want to scope out the potential current/past roommate options.

Second, I think. I'm not sure AU-Raidou will be heavily interested in clubs to start with, but I could definitely see them sharing classes.

Estranged family situations ftw? Now granted, I'm not sure how much either would know about the other's family situation.

THOUGH, there may be a chance that Michelle might recognize the family name, and wonder at why their child has transferred over to here. (For her part, she goes by her mother's maiden name.) There might be an angle of curiosity to work with, there.

That could be interesting! He'd probably have some sympathy for her if he learns who her father is, because he comes from a very status-conscious family himself and he hates that sort of thing.

I knew that journal name was familiar! I threaded with you on that other TDM with Auron.

Given that Alucard is also fond of fighting demons and stopping supernatural threats, I feel like they could get along once they have all their memories back.

As for how they'd know each other? Hmmm. Perhaps they're neighbors?

Hi! I enjoyed that thread - I just didn't think I could app to two places at once.

And yeah, I can see them getting along pretty well based on that.

Where is Alucard living?

I think in the dorms somewhere, haven't nailed a specific place down just yet. Perhaps they just know each other in passing and get to know each other better down the line when they do all the dungeon crawling?
