WELCOME TO THE FIRST PLANNING POST!

Congratulations on being accepted into the game. Now let's have a big meeting post, plan and have fun together!

AU PLANNING

The AU in this game is completely player's choice. We encourage you to take a look at the city and plan accordingly! Your AU information can be added to your character hub, should you desire. As long as it is available somewhere, and others can take a quick glance and know what the character's AU is.

We only ask that you try to keep everything tasteful and respect our decision if we feel you're going too far. As the game begins, you are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods first-post related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner!

The city of Eddan is very much a typical metropolis, so your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job. If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!

There is also a randomized AU signup if you'd like to leave it to chance who your family members are and establish pre-game CR with new people. But if you'd rather leave it for now and wait for other app turns, that's also fine!

I can sacrifice a parent if I can keep the restaurant and moving in from out of town (it doesn't necessarily have to be from a farm, I just thought that would be a fun 'fish out of water' touch for his childhood).

Good evening, everyone! I'm Rune, bringing in one Miu Matsuoka from the anime/manga Strawberry Marshmallow. It's awful, please don't read/watch it, I only put up with it because Miu is funny to me.

Canonically, she's a brat. She does it for the vine. She's over the top and mischievous and has no respect for the rules. She's an only child who lives only to make her friends suffer but they all like her anyways (sometimes). She's like Angelica Pickles, but anime and crazy.

In this AU, I'm not sure what I'm doing yet! I didn't hit up the planning post or the test drive because I was waffling between her or another slice of life gal. Here's what I know.
-She's going to have a single mom so she has plenty of time to sneak around without getting in trouble.
-She's likely going to be living right next to Shinjiro unless his housemates reject this. This means she will let herself in through a window or the front door whenever she wants to.
-I wouldn't mind cousins! Aunts, uncles. Friends. Miu, in RP, gets along well with people who are good at humoring kids, who have a good sense of humor, or who are easily whipped. Siblings might be fun, but I might be pickier there! Who knows.
-Because she's 12 and not from a serious canon, I probably shouldn't pair her with people who would be violent with her? I'm not shying away from negative CR, but it'd be kind of like kicking a puppy to pair her with evil people
-Everyone at school has probably seen her standing in the hall or in detention tbh
-Probably takes pictures of everything.
-She's in the last year of primary school! She looks four and a half, but she's actually twelve. Thanks, anime!

Shantae | Shantae

Hi there, I'm Jeff, and I'm playing Shantae! She's a magical half genie with hair that whips bad guys. And she's more brave than she is intelligent.

In her canon, she's a half-genie, and the guardian of a fishing town called Scuttle Town. She defends Scuttle Town and her home of Sequin Land from pirates, evil curses, mechanized armies, and other ne'er-do-wells.

All I know for her AU is that her name is Scheherazade, and in her AU she's a high school student who lives with her uncle (so that part is similar to her real life), and she studies dance. She's one of the popular girls at school and a bit of a fashionista.

Any other teachers? Let's hang out in the lounge and drink cheap coffee! ;)

- This character is a villain in canon.
- The canon is all sorts of f-ed up.
- Possible triggers: co-dependent family relationships, playing fast and loose with Judeo-Christian theology, cross-dressing and gender-bending.

Hey everyone! This is Gray from the test drive! I'm happy to keep whatever CR we had there, since I don't think things have changed much from then.

The most important thing is that Louis now has an AU last name! (It's Cornett, because meaningful last names.) Other than that, he's a music teacher, still mute even in his AU life, and fairly well-established. He still plays trumpet the most, but has some more familiarity with other instruments. While mostly rule-abiding, he does do his best to understand his students when they act out.

Hello, I'm Alec and I bring one Ankh from the show Kamen Rider OOO. Canonically he is a selfish little shit that wants to become whole and uses everyone around him to do that but since he spends most of the series as a floaty monster bird arm stuck onto the body of a human, he has to rely on the goodwill of hobo jesus and his friends. He doesn't enjoy it much, but he does learn about humans, being human and kinda, sorta, almost becomes nice.

As in nice to those people that actually treat him as being a person instead of a bunch of weird magical coins with attitude. The rest of humanity just benefits from his niceness to them.

AU-wise tho Ankh goes by the first name of Ariel (shut up it's an old Hebrew name really) and he is an idol/fashion model that is studying to get degrees in Art History and Music Theory. He does model for the school's uniform company so he is kinda famous and is actually a bit of a happy flirty type person who really doesn't get mad about the way people think his first name is funny. Instead he just will calmly shut that line down and go on to the next big thing.
+ He has a younger brother and a father
+ I haven't planned out much more but I am looking for him to be a part of an idol and/or modeling group.
+ He's got some talent and was probably in musical theater and fashion design before switching from fashion as a study into Art.
+ He is always running around a little hectic and crazy and can be caught taking naps instead of studying and yes, he wears makeup all the time, though his glamour makeup is a lot heavier then the day-to-day stuff.
+ He is also always on a diet or sneaking snacks and he can drive a car/motorcycle but half the time he isn't allowed because of rules and such.
+ Yes he likes this life but it's hard let him be a silly idiot from time to time.

I'm playing as some crazy lady from Umineko, but this is the AU version so who cares about that stuff. Her AU name is Isabelle Thanisch and to any student who has taken English (Senior Cycle), Creative Writing (Higher/Advance) or the Drama/Theater elective (EVERYONE NEEDS TO ENJOY SPECTATING!!!!!), you have had to deal with this woman.

- Has been there for what feels like forever. Possibly some type of ageless homonculi.
- Jury is still out on whether she's really flighty or shows up drunk.
- Arguably doesn't even read the works her class submits
- Changes the syllabus at the drop of a hat, cause why not.
- Opts for really gory over-the-top plays for the Drama class to put on

On the other hand, voted most likely to let you fall asleep in class, cut your other classes to join her class, give you extra credit if you show her something "hilarious" (read: really offensive to anyone else), and is surprisingly good at her job if you get past the extremely eccentric personality.

In short, arguably the bestworst teacher in the school.

Her free time is spent writing a billion murder mystery and horror stories under a bunch of different aliases, and recently has become something of an urban legend, so any avid book readers with really questionable tastes have probably read her work at some point. Owns a really big house somewhere in Point-a-Tarte (so no one has to deal with her), has a really malicious pet cat, probably a couple daughters she doesn't give a shit about and forgot entirely, and also has a rumor spreading around the school that she got a crush on a student then responded with running him over with her car. Not true. Probably.

The Erika is one of her daughters and a hypothetical Bernkastel is the other, but otherwise that stuff's on them. FEATHERINE DOESN'T CARE, NEITHER SHOULD YOU.

Looking For: Everything. ALL OF THE TEACHERS. I want to have CR with all the teachers so they can all be disgusted with her. Book nerds of all kinds are also welcome friends. Also, whether AU or post awakening, SOMEONE TO CALL HER OUT ON HER HORSESHIT. The really annoyed straight man with good(?) intentions to counterbalance the fact she hates humanity ....yeah, hates humanity.

I still want CR with everyone though, talk to meeeeeeeeee.

-AU name is Erica Thanisch, at least in the school files because she re-took her moms name when she entered the city. Oops?
-Teenager! Again. Either on her last year of Senior Cycle, or first year of Higher.
-Transferred to Eddan some dubious amount of time ago, in order to get the BEST EDUCATION POSSIBLE!!! and also spend more time with her dear birth mother who ran off to live here.
-Her mom is Featherine. This won't end badly at all.
-Thanks to Featherine/"Isabelle" being Knockoff German here, Erika is by extension too. Because we wanted to continue some very awful puns.
-Her and her mom have the world's worst best cat named Bern-chan. This cat is the devil incarnate.
-Her sole interests are basically shōjo mangas and shitty mystery novels.

Unlike normal her, she's... actually a nice person! The way I'm rolling with it is her "polite, isolated-but-cultured child who does nothing but solve mysteries and Help People" persona is her 'real' outlook here. Which will come as a complete 180 when she wakes up and flips her shit.

I encourage any and all CR, tbh. Hit me. I'm ready.
